I am more than just a\nprivate tutor. Think of me as a Mentor, someone who your child can grow\nand develop with, someone who can equip your child with the skills to\nbecome a future leader. My approach to tutoring is unique, I believe\nin understanding my students first and taking the time to learn about\ntheir needs properly. <\/span><\/o:p><\/u1:p><\/p>

Here are a few steps I\nwill be taking to give your child the best support possible:<\/o:p><\/span><\/b><\/p>

I will come to visit you and your child at your home. I will spend\naround 30 mins with you the parent(s) and 30 minutes with your child to\nlearn about your objectives. I will also try to identify your child\u2019s\ninterest, learning strategies, strengths and weaknesses.<\/span><\/o:p><\/u1:p><\/p>

\u201cTeaching is about realizing the weaknesses\nand overcoming them, and
\nalso recognizing a students\u2019 strength and building on it to truly help them
\nexceed themselves\u201d.  <\/span><\/b><\/u1:p><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>

During my visit we will prepare a timetable to plan out when I will\nbe tutoring your child, so that we all know what to expect and we all can be prepared.\nWe will also agree on the fees and any other terms and conditions which we\nmay deem appropriate during the progression of our meeting. I will go\nthrough your child\u2019s files, books, school work,
\ncoursework, reports etc. to understand them better and recognize what I need to\nfocus on. I will be randomly testing your child to see how much understanding\nthey have in their subjects. This will help me prepare a strong plan for your\nchild and have a good session prepared for the next time I return.<\/span><\/o:p><\/u1:p><\/p>

My sessions are\ncomposed of:<\/span><\/b><\/u1:p><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>

\u00d8 \n<\/span><\/span>Reinforcing knowledge to students using exercise books, test\npapers, class notes.<\/span><\/u1:p> <\/o:p><\/span><\/p>

\u00d8 \n<\/span><\/span>Asking them to apply this knowledge in case studies where\napplicable, to ensure that they truly understand the subject matter and are\ngood at analysis and evaluation.<\/span><\/u1:p> <\/o:p><\/span><\/p>

\u00d8 \n<\/span><\/span>Testing<\/span> their knowledge using past exam test questions to ensure they\nknow how to answer questions in an exam situation.<\/span><\/u1:p> <\/o:p><\/span><\/p>

\u00d8 \n<\/span><\/span>Quite frequently I will do exam practice with real past exam\npapers. Some students might know their stuff, but when it comes to exams, they\nget too nervous, or they simply don\u2019t know how to answer a question. In my\nexperience I have found up to 50% of students get less marks due to weak exam\nskills.
